Who we are
DOGPAPA is a Singapore Sole Proprietorship operated by Shawn K, providing in-home
dog training services across Singapore. References to "we", "us", or "DOGPAPA"
in this policy refer to that business.

What we collect
When you contact us, book a session, or sign up for our services, we may collect:
- Your contact details — name, phone number, email address, residential address (for in-home sessions)
- Your dog's information — name, breed, age, weight, vaccination status, behavioural notes, vet contact
- Emergency contact — for use if a situation arises during a session or walk
- Photographs and videos — taken during sessions, with your consent, for our records and (where you've agreed) for marketing use
- Payment information — for processing your bookings (we do not store card details ourselves; payments are handled via PayNow or other secure methods)
- Communication records — WhatsApp messages, emails, and notes from our sessions, which we keep to provide ongoing service
Why we collect it
We use this data to:
- Understand your dog and prepare for sessions
- Provide ongoing training, support, and progress updates
- Process bookings and payments
- Respond to enquiries
- Maintain client records for follow-up sessions
- Where you've explicitly agreed: publish photos, videos, or testimonials on our website and social media
What we don't do
- We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
- We do not share your data with marketers.
- We do not use photos or videos of you, your family, or your dog for marketing purposes without your explicit consent.
- We do not share your contact details with other clients.
Who we share with (limited)
We may share data with:
- Service providers — for example, payment processors, email or scheduling platforms, web hosting (Netlify). These partners process data on our behalf and only as needed to deliver the service.
- Veterinary or emergency services — only if your dog requires urgent medical attention while in our care.
- Legal authorities — only when legally required to do so (e.g. court order, regulatory request).
How long we keep your data
We keep client records for as long as you remain an active client and for a reasonable
period afterwards (typically 3 years) in case you return or refer a friend. After that,
we delete records unless legally required to retain them.
You can ask us to delete your data sooner — see "Your rights" below.
Cookies and website tracking
Our website uses minimal tracking. We do not currently use third-party advertising
cookies or behavioural tracking.
If we add basic analytics in future (e.g. Google Analytics for visitor counts), we
will update this policy and provide an opt-out option.
Your rights under PDPA
Under Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act, you have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correct — ask us to update inaccurate information
- Withdraw consent — for marketing communications, photo use, or future contact
- Deletion — request that we delete your personal data, subject to any legal retention requirements

How we keep your data safe
We take reasonable precautions to protect your data:
- Communications via secure platforms (WhatsApp, email)
- Payment data handled by PCI-compliant processors (we don't store card details)
- Website hosted on Netlify with industry-standard security headers and HTTPS encryption
- Account access protected by strong passwords and two-factor authentication
- Photos and videos stored on access-restricted devices
No system is perfectly secure. If a breach occurs that materially affects your data,
we will notify you as soon as practical.
Photo and video consent
We sometimes film or photograph training sessions for our records and for content
(Instagram, website, marketing materials). We will only use any image of you, your
family, or your dog for marketing purposes if you explicitly consent.
You can withdraw photo or video consent at any time by messaging us. Once we receive
your request, we will stop using the relevant material in future content. (Material
already published on third-party platforms — for example, Instagram posts — may take
longer to fully remove.)
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of
this page reflects the most recent change. For material changes (for example, if we
start sharing data with a new partner), we will notify active clients directly.
